摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain a sheet-like thermoplastic structure showing desired flow properties during stamping at high temp. under high pressure and imparting desired impact strength to a final composite article by specifying the content ratio of a reinforcing fiber and a thermoplastic substance on the basis of the total wt. of the structure. CONSTITUTION: In a thermoplastic composite structure substantially consisting of 20-60 wt.% of a reinforcing fiber and 40-80 wt.% of a thermoplastic substance on the basis of the total wt. of the structure, at least 95% of the reinforcing fiber has polymodal distribution having a length of below 2 in. and the reinforcing fiber contains first and second fibers. The first and second fibers are present in a ratio of at least 10 wt.% based on the total wt. of the reinforcing fiber and the first fiber comprises a fiber having mean length L1 and length between L1 -0.02 in. and L1 +0.02 in. and the second fiber comprises a fiber having mean length L2 and length between L2 -0.05 in. and L2 +0.05 in. The mean length L2 is larger than the mean length L1 at least by 0.1 in.
