PURPOSE:To establish the technique for compounding a large amt. of a cheap low-quality coke with coal for coke making to produce a low-cost formed coke. CONSTITUTION:This formed coke is produced by compounding 99-85wt.% coal or coal blend having a caking index of 50-80 % and a volatile content of 10-35% and contg. 0-20wt.% particles with sizes of lower than 0.05mm and 50-100wt.% particles with sizes of 0.05-1.5mm with 1-15wt.% low-quality coal having a caking index of 0-50% and contg. 0-20wt.% particles with sizes lower than 0.1mm and 50-100wt.% particles with sizes of 0.1-4.0mm, molding the resulting compd., and carbonizing it in a shaft furnace. |
