PURPOSE: To provide a nonwoven fabric having a tricot knitting-like appearance and an excellent drape property in all direction of the fabric. CONSTITUTION: A web 57 of 100% cotton is placed on a supporting member 56 having multiple floating three-dimensional regions disposed on a movable conveyer belt 55, passed below a manifold 58 via the running of the conveyer belt 55. Constituent fibers are entangled by a cylindrical water stream 59 and the water 59 is sucked and removed via a vacuum manifold 60 to form a nonwoven fabric. The nonwoven fabric comprises openings which are consisting of multiple U-shaped substantially parallel fiber segments wherein an opened part of the U-shape is faced to an upper face and a closed part of the U-shape is faced to a lower face and are pattern-likely distributed on the surface of the fabric and an excellent drape property of >=75 degree drape rate in all the direction of the fabric. |
