Cultivation of a plant by placing a cutting on a first nutrient medium surrounded, concentrically, by a sphere- sector of second and third nutrient media, which include active substances which promote cell division and differentiation. The nutrient media, separated by separation films, are arranged on a rockwool support containing plant growth regulators. A cultivation installation comprises feed means 39, 39', 39" for nutrient media, feed means 32, 33, 34 for active ingredients and feed means 14, 14', 14" for separation film material, as well as control means 17 for regulating the various feed means. <IMAGE>
