CONSTITUTION:A composite thermal transfer sheet is obtained by arranging a sublimable dye layer 2 and a dye receiving layer 3a on one surface of a base material sheet 1. A plurality of colors, for example yellow 2Y, cyan 2C and magenta 2M are arranged to the sublimable dye layer 2. A releasable heat-resistant slide layer 6 is arranged on the other surface of the base material sheet 1. In this case, an antistatic agent is added to the sublimable dye layer 2 or the dye receiving layer An adhesive layer 4 or an intermediate layer 5 may be provided on the surface of the dye receiving layer 3a. Further, an antistatic agent may be added to at least one of the dye receiving layer 3, the adhesive layer 4 and the intermediate layer 5. By this constitution, the tailing generated when the dye receiving layer 3a is released is prevented from adhering to the sublimable dye layer 2.
