PURPOSE: To calibrate a net work analyzer (VNA) which requires connection of any two of its ports by providing VNA having at least a first port and a second port. CONSTITUTION: Frequency for carrying out a device under test(DUT) is applied to a computer 16. The frequency is so adjusted as to be in a mutual correlation with the previously measured frequency of the calibration net work which can be inserted. Then, to carry out calibration, the VNA 12 is loaded with the frequency, so that the VNA 12 is set up. Next, multistate electron transfer standard (MSETS) 14 is measured and on the completion of the measurement, error items of an error modem are calculated. After that, these error items are utilized to be converted into proper frequency for DUT to be measured. The VNA 12 is turned back to the initial state, the connection of the MSETS 14 is released, and the DUT is connected for measurement. |
