<p>PURPOSE:To provide a continuous wave radar in which, when it is mounted on a moving body, the relative speed of the moving body can be detected, which can detect whether the moving body is coming close to, or separating from, a target object, which does not generate an AM noise, whose constitution is simple and which can be miniaturized. CONSTITUTION:An oscillation signal S1 at a definite frequency is output from an oscillaiton means 1, and it is branched by a branch means 2. A signal S1 on one side is radiated, as radio waves M1, to a target object from a transmitting antenna 3. Radio waves M2 which have been reflected by the target object are received by a receiving antenna 4. On the basis of a signal S1 on the other side, which is branched by a mixer 21, a first signal S13 at a frequency in the upper sideband of a received signal S2 by the antenna 4 or a second signal S14 at a frequency in the lower sideband is detected. In a signal processing means 6, the first signal S13 is operated and processed, the approach of the target object is detected or the separation of the target object from the second signal S14 is detected, and a relative speed with reference to the target object is detected.</p> |
