PURPOSE:To ensure cooling operation with the running cost satisfactorily reduced and increase the life of a compressor. CONSTITUTION:A compressor 3 and a condenser 4 are connected through a piping 5, and the condenser 4, an expansion valve, a heat exchanging piping 1a of an ice heat storage tank 1, and a heat exchanger 6 disposed below the ice heat storage tank 1 as a utilization side, and further the heat exchanger 6 and the compressor 3 are connected through a refrigerant vapor piping 8. An outlet side of the refrigerant fluid piping 7 from the ice heat storage tank 1 and a return side of the refrigerant vapor piping 8 to the compressor 3 are connected through a circulating piping 11 including an opening/closing valve 10 interposed in the course thereof, and an inlet side of the refrigerant fluid piping 7 to the ice heat storage tank 1 and a part of the refrigerant vapor piping 8 located between the heat exchanger 6 and the compressor 3 are connected through a natural circulating piping 12 for driving the compressor 3.
