<p>A rodless actuator which has an actuator tube (1) in which a slot (3) of essentially trapezoidal cross-section is made. A trapezoidal band (4) used for sealing purposes sits in the slot (3). In addition, this band (4) is passed radially in a displaceable manner through a piston (5) which is located in the actuator tube (1) and carries several piston rings (10) in the area of its outer periphery. Provided between an outer and an inner lip of the piston ring (10), which is in contact with the two marginal areas of the underside of the trapezoidal band (4), are ribs which serve to stiffen the outer lip of the piston ring (10). The sides of the slot (3) have a convexly curved configuration, and the two side walls of the slot (3) are connected to the inner surface of the actuator tube (1) while forming a gentle curve. All these measures bring about a reduction in the leakage of the pressure medium required for operating the rodless actuator. <IMAGE></p> |
