The subject of the present invention is a device for synchronisation of an active mode-coupling laser without temporal fluctuations. Device for synchronising the locking of the longitudinal modes of a periodic pulsed laser, characterised in that it principally consists, on the one hand, of the basic pulsed laser (1), the locking of whose longitudinal modes is controlled by an oscillator (2) or a very-high-frequency synthesizer using a first acoustooptic modulator (3) and, on the other hand, of a unit (4) for converting and filtering the signals emitted by the said basic laser (1) and, finally, by a second acoustooptic modulator (5) driven by the filtered signal output by the aforementioned unit (4), which blocks the longitudinal modes of the laser (6) to be controlled, making it possible to obtain a periodic pulsed light signal which has practically no instantaneous random fluctuation in its period.
