摘要 |

The invention relates to a refractory, porous, heat-insulating material, which is resistant to fluorine-containing gases and has a stable volume, in particular in the form of moulded bricks, for refractory, heat-insulating lining in electrolysis furnaces, in which metallic aluminium is produced by electrolysis of aluminium oxide dissolved in a fluoride melt, which material has an Al2O3 content of more than 50% by weight and a TiO2 content of from 2.5 to 10% by weight and forms acicular TiO2 crystals and/or TiO2-containing crystals, randomly growing into the pore space, under the action of fluorine-containing gases at temperatures between 700 and 1000 DEG C on the free surfaces, in particular on the boundary surfaces of intergranular voids, in the region of the material subjected to the fluorine gas. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation and to the use of the refractory material.
|
