<p>The tool consists of a pair of pincers with handles (1,8) connected to a pair of jaws (4), and a locking lever (11). One of the handles (1) is equipped with a mechanism to rotate the tool, made in the form of a long-pitch spiral (2) and a sleeve (3) with retaining balls in a collar. After a wire loop (6) has been passed round two or more rods (7) its two ends are gripped by the pincer jaws and locked in place. The tool is then rotated by pulling on the sleeve (3) so that the balls inside it interact with the spiral, twisting the ends of the wire loop together.</p> |
