PURPOSE:To efficiently execute the machine translation by interactively editing the original sentence and the translated sentence and storing the edition history for each specified unit of the inputted sentence and controlling the contents of executing the translation according to the discrimination result of the storage contents. CONSTITUTION:When the sentence of the source language (for example, English) is inputted, a translation module 5 performs translation interactively including the pre-edition processing for the original sentence and the post edition processing for the machine translation and for the translated sentence. The sentence of the target language (for example, Japanese) is outputted and the history information including the edition information is stored in the comment context recording file of a fixed disk 9 in the prescribed unit of the inputted sentence. When the sentences to be translated with the comment stored through the interactive translation processing are translated in a batch again, the history of the translation environment at the time of the interactive translation is read out from the fixed disk 9 and displayed on a CRT 3. A translator refers to the history and performs translation by the same translation environment with the interactive translation. |
