BALL SCREW ARRANGEMENT FOR OFFSET LOADING

A ball screw arrangement is taught having screws of selected diameter to accommodate offset loading. Each screw is selected to have a diameter which is proportional to the load it is to bear. Thus avoiding problems resulting fromdifferential extensions of screws in drive systems. Previously, the accommodation of an offset load required the installation of additional screws in the area of highest loading.
