PURPOSE:To provide a multilayered piezoelectric element wherein super miniaturization is realized by reducing the thickness of the whole body, and large force can be obtained by small electric power when the element is applied to the drive source of a rod type ultrasonic motor. CONSTITUTION:The rod type ultrasonic motor contains piezoelectric element plates 4-1-4-2 wherein an electrode film divided into four parts is formed on one surface side, and is constituted of a plurality of piezoelectric element plates wherein an electrode film is formed only on the single side of each of the piezoelectric element plates. The one side is laminated in the same direction, the polarities of the facing electrode films are made mutually opposite, and the electrode films on the multilayered piezoelectric element plates which films are in the same phase are connected with each other. |
