PURPOSE:To form a frictional member for oscillatory wave motor having a remarkably large coefficient of friction and excellent wear resistance at a low cost by forming the frictional member composed mainly of a thermosetting resin on at least one frictionally contacting part of a contacting or oscillating body by using an applying method. CONSTITUTION:The frictional member for oscillatory wave motor having an oscillating body 11 which generates oscillatory waves and contacting body 1 which is frictionally brought into contact with the body 11 and relatively moved against the body 11 by oscillatory waves is formed. At the time of formation, the frictional member composed mainly of a thermosetting resin is formed on at least one frictionally contacting section of the contacting body 11 or oscillating body 11 by using an applying method. For example, the frictional surface of a rotor is spraycoated with a diluted solution of a bisphenol A type epoxy resin mixed with a curing agent composed of an aliphatic polyamine diluted with a solvent and the resin is cured within one hour at a curing temperature of 210 deg.C. The thickness of the resin film after curing is controlled to about 30mum. After curing, the surface of the film is polished until the film becomes about 20mum thick so as to improve the flatness and surface roughness of the film. |
