PURPOSE:To provide the method and device for processing document capable of easily changing the display style between the one that does not depend on the document data and the one that depends on the document data in the structured document. CONSTITUTION:The prescribed document is displayed on a CRT 4 by a CPU 3 according to a document display program 51 by referring to an image data file 63 as needed from a document data file 61 and a style information file 62. An operator can easily switch the display styles; the one to be displayed only by the style information file independent of the document data file and the one to be displayed by referring to the both of them. |
