PURPOSE:To increase the speed of the translation device and to improve the reliability of translation results. CONSTITUTION:The translation device refers to plural translation dictionaries 2a-2e of a database 2 and translates a document to the sentence by the language structure different from the original sentence A. It is provided with a data file 5 storing the original sentence A to be translated, central control part 3 processing the original sentence A taken out from the data file 5 into the word group and performing the matching processing with the words of translation dictionaries 2a-2e and counting the number of hits to the dictionary table corresponding to the table counter 7 and reporting one of the translation dictionaries of the highest value in counting to the part 1, and translation processing part 1 executing the translation of the original sentence A based on the translation dictionary which is selected by the part 3. |
