PURPOSE:To set a current time with high accuracy and a simple operation to a timer of the equipment incorporated with the timer. CONSTITUTION:A MODEM 13 is provided to the timer built-in equipment 20. The equipment 20 sends a time-casting communication request to a time-casting service station 10 via the MODEM 13 and a telephone line 30. Upon the receipt of the time-casting communication request via the telephone line and a MODEM 1, the time-casting service station 10 obtains an accurate current time from a clock circuit 2 to generate digital time-casting data and sends the time-casting data to the timer built-in equipment 20 being a time-casting communication request source. The timer built-in equipment 20 sets a current time with high accuracy to a timer 11 based on the received time-casting data. |
