<p>PURPOSE:To make the cost reduction and power consumption reduction of a tape tension imparting mechanism compatible. CONSTITUTION:The tape tension imparting mechanism 40 is applied to a tape traveling device 1 provided with one pair of reel mechanisms 2a and 2b equipped with a rotary body 4 and reel base 6 in a set on a chassis 3 and bearing freely oscillatably an arm member 16 supporting one end of a rotary body 15 to which motor driving force is transmitted between the reel mechanisms. And also, the mechanism 40 is equipped with a catching blade 41b of a rotary body 41 for rotating together with the rotary body 4 and a lock piece 43 provided at the other end of the arm member 16 across its bearing position. When the rotary body of the reel mechanism 2a is rotated by a gear body 15, rotary body 4 of the reel mechanism 2b is locked by engaging the catching bade 41b with the lock piece 43, and hence back tension is imparted to the magnetic tape T under high speed take-up operation by friction force of a sliding clutch mechanism on the side of the reel mechanism 4.</p> |
