<p>PURPOSE:To provide a joint which connects flexible pipes each having spiral corrugations to each other with one-step operation, simplicity, and high water-tightness. CONSTITUTION:A pair of joint parts have each a retainer 3 having a spiral guide 31 to be fitted in spiral projection and recession 80 of a pipe 8 on an inner periphery. A packing holding cylinder 4 which has a small diameter arcuate wall 40 and a large diameter arcuate wall 41 alternatively continued in an circumferential direction is provided on a leading end of the retainer 3. A pressing piece 5 has a tapered inner surface 50 whose inner diameter is widened toward a leading end direction, being projected from the leading end of the small diameter arcuate wall 40. A guide hole 6 is formed on an outer periphery of the small diameter arcuate wall 40 in a longitudinal direction. A connection piece 7 has an engagement claw 70 on its leading end, being projected longitudinally from the large diameter arcuate wall 41. A packing 2 is inserted into each packing holding cylinder 4. Each of the joint parts 1 is installed at an end of each pipe 8. One pressing piece 5 is guided to the inner side of the other large diameter arcuate wall 41. One connection piece 7 is inserted into the other guide hole 6. Under such a state, the joint parts 1 are pressed against each other.</p> |
