Large volume modular storage tank

The tank has two end modules (2) and several central modules (3) which are assembled in pairs by their ends. Each module has an open end having an annular projection and an annular section (13) inserted between two projections of two adjacent modules. Fixing bolts (14) pass through holes drilled in the annular section and the projections. The annular section has a T shape and is formed from a radial web which is inserted between the two projections of two neighbouring modules and a core which frames the two parts of the two projections. A cord weld packs the lower space between two projections left vacant by the annular section. A beam (17) is located longitudinally on the tank and fixed on each annular section in order to rigidify the tank.
