PURPOSE:To provide a technology for inspection of piping by which nondestructive inspections can be accurately performed by moving an inspection device main body and its accessory members so that no interference can occur between the main body and members and pipelines and other obstacles even under such a condition where large-diameter pipes are arranged at short intervals and the space between each pipe is narrow. CONSTITUTION:A rail 2 is installed through pipes and the main body 4 of an inspection device is mounted on the rail 2. Then a moving mechanism which moves the main body 4 along the rail 2 under numerical control is provided on the main body 4. In addition, an inspection probe 25 is fitted to pipes through a semicircular peripheral locus 9, its rotating mechanism, peripheral direction scanning mechanism, and axial direction scanning mechanisms 22 and attitude control mechanisms are installed on the scanning mechanisms 22. |
