PURPOSE:To alter a timbre diversely even when a DPS which performs processing in a limited number of steps by decreasing the number of arithmetic steps of a DSP assigned to an analysis side and increasing the number of steps of a DSP assigned to a synthesis part side. CONSTITUTION:The analysis part 20 consists of only a delay circuit 51 and a multiplier 52 as irreducible necessary elements, and consequently the number of arithmetic steps assigned to the analysis part 20 may be small. While the constitution of the analysis part is thus simplified, the synthesis part 30 to which constituent elements are added is made large in the number of arithmetic steps by as many as the elements are added. At this synthesis part 30, the output of a nonlinear circuit 64 is inputted to an adder 69 through a multiplier 66 and the output of a nonlinear circuit 65 is inputted to the adder 69 through a multiplier 68 and added to the output from the multiplier 67, so that the resulting data are outputted as prediction data. |
