PURPOSE:To easily and speedily input the address of a customer in inputting the list of customer. CONSTITUTION:The character strings taking the first character describing the name of the administrative divisions of Japan by KANA (Japanese syllabary) and Roman characters, the first character describing the first character describing the name of cities and towns by Roman letters, and the first character describing the name of villages by Roman letters are defiend as a code. The device is provided with a means storing at least one address and its code number with the name of the a dministrative divisions of Japan and the name of cities, towns, and villages for each code in tables 1 and 2, means retrieving the tables 1 and 2 when the character string corresponding to the code is inputted as a key and extracting the name of address and the code number and displaying it on a display device as a candidate, and means storing it in the prescribed file when one of the name of address displayed on the display device is selected. |
