PURPOSE:To manufacture a cable wherein water tree resistance is sharply improved by blending oxide or the derivative of the oxide with insulator layers when an inside semiconductive layer, an insulator layer, an outside semiconductive layer, and an outer sheath are formed in order onto a conductor to manufacture the cable. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductive polyethylene composition, wherein conductive carbon is blended with polyethylene, is extrusion-coated onto a copper stranded wire conductor 1 to provide an inside semiconductive layer 2. An insulative polyethylene composition, wherein agents, dicumi-peroxide, 4,4'-tio-bis(3- methyl-6-1-butyl phenol) and oxanilide, are blended with polyethylene, is exprusion-coated thereon to be heated and crosslinked to provide an insulator layer 3. Then a semiconductor polyethlene composition, same as a composition used in the inside semiconductor layer 2, is extrusion-coated thereon to form an outside semiconductor layer 4, and then a metal shield layer 5 composed of a soft copper wire braid and a sheath 6 by the extrusion of soft vinyl chloride resin are provided in order on the outside semiconductor layer 4. |
