PURPOSE:To delay a timing for a service man to clean and change a roller member such as an electrostatic charging roller and a transfer roller by delaying the timing of the generation of an image unevenness caused by electrostatic charging unevenness and transfer unevenness or the like as much as possible. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with grinding rollers 17-19 rotating and contacting respective peripheral surfaces of the electrostatic charging roller 2, the transfer roller 3 and a destaticization roller 4 which are respectively roller members and grinding their surfaces, and the strength of surface layers between respective roller members and the grinding rollers 17-19 at least differ. Thus, either of them being in press-contact and having lower strength is elastically deformed and is mutually in contact with others having a large contact area, so that the peripheral surfaces of respective roller members are cleaned at high cleaning performance. Therefore, the generation timing of the image unevenness caused by soiling the peripheral surface of the roller member with toner or the like is delayed. |
