PURPOSE:To provide a luminaire which is effective to lessen the number of times of transmitting operation by a remote-control transmitter and which can secure reliability to respond to the transmitting operation. CONSTITUTION:Regarding a luminaire provided with a receiver unit 31 to receive the signal transmitted from a remote-control transmitter 30 and a remote controller 23 which controls lamps 15, 16 supported on a chassis 12 based on the received content of the receiver unit 31 and also provided with a cover 13 made of a diffusive and transmissive material and covering the controller 23 and the lamps 15, 16; the receiver unit 31 is so set as to expose the tip end of the receiver unit 31 to the outside in the lower side of the cover 13. Consequently, while directly watching the receiver unit 31, one can send a signal to the unit and the transmitted signal which the reception unit 31 receives is hardly weakened by the illuminating light. |
