<p>PURPOSE:To pass the body of a linear motor car without causing any shift of track by levitating the car body at the time of low speed running and stop, controlling the running speed to stabilize the horizontal and vertical positions of the car body without contacting the track, thereby blocking intrusion of dust into the car body and damping the vibration thereof. CONSTITUTION:A side wall 2 for guiding is installed to form a trench-like track R and a car body A is housed therein. A levitation/drive coil group 11 is arranged on the bottom face 1 of the track while levitation/drive permanent magnets are arranged on the bottom face 3 of the car body and coil groups 21, 22 for quiding are arranged on the side wall. Permanent magnets 34, 35 for quiding are also arranged on the right and left side walls of the car body with the center of the line of magnetic force being set lower than that of the coil group for guide. Yokes J made of a magnetic permeable material are arranged on the inside of permanent magnets for levitation/drive and for guiding. The car body is surrounded by the yoke J on the side faces and bottom face thereof and shunt coils 33d, 34d, 35d are disposed around each permanent magnet. Coil groups for curve guiding, being controlled independently, are arranged on the opposite side walls at the branch point of the track.</p> |
