PURPOSE:To make a working process unnecessary for a luminaire main body to lead a wire such as a secondary wiring wire from a ballast to the body and lessen the manufacturing time and manufacturing cost of luminaires. CONSTITUTION:A luminaire is composed of a luminaire main body 10 made of an aluminum material cut in a prescribed length and a side cover 38 made of PPO to be joined to both ends of the luminaire main body 10. The luminaire main body 10 is composed of a fluorescent lamp holding part 24 to hold a fluorescent lamp socket and a fluorescent lamp and a ballast storing chamber 28 to store a ballast (a voltage boosting apparatus). The side cover 38 has thick parts 52, 54, 56 in a base part 50. The thick parts 52, 54, 56 are formed flash with the upper part surface and brought into contact with four corners of the end face of the ballast storing chamber 28 of the luminaire main body 10 to support chamber and a space to which a wire is led is formed between the inner wall face of the base part 50 of the side cover 38 and the end face of a partition wall 34 of the luminaire main body 10. |
