PURPOSE:To display the focus adjustment states of a photographic optical system in respective focus detection areas inside or outside a finder visual field frame according to the situation. CONSTITUTION:This camera is equipped with a 1st display means which superimposes information regarding the focus adjustment states in the respective focus detection areas, detected by focus detecting means 7A, 7B, 8A, 8B, and 10, on a subject image at positions in the visual field frame of a finder 6 corresponding to the respective focus detection areas when driving control means 11 and 12 perform driving control over the photographic optical system 3 in 1st control mode. Further, the camera is equipped with a 2nd display means 15 which displays information regarding the focus adjustment states in the respective focus detection areas, detected by the focus detecting means 7A, 7B, 8A, 8B, and 10, at positions corresponding to the respective focus detection areas outside the visual frame of the finder 6, when the driving control means 11 and 12 perform driving control over the photographic optical system 3 in 2nd control mode. |
