PURPOSE:To prevent fuel accumulated in a scavenging passage from irregularly flowing into a combustion chamber even in low rotation operation so as to provide a stable combustion condition and to improve rotation stablity of an engine in an intake device of a two cycle engine for an outboard motor. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder base gasket 28 is arranged between a cylinder block 10 and a crank case housing 14 in an engine, and the gasket 28 is slightly projected to the lower part of a scavenging passage 22 of a cylinder for forming a weir 30 partitioning the scavenging passage 22 into the upstream side first scavenging passage 22a and the downstream side second scavenging passage 22b, while a fuel accumulating groove part, is formed in the first scavenging passage 22a, and a communicating passage, which connects the scavenging passages of respective cylinders arranged on the upside and the downside with each other and is connected to the groove part when the cylinder base gasket 28 is mounted, is arranged. On the other hand, a communicating passage communicating the lowermost scavenging passage of one of cylinder blocks positioned in the higher position of a V-engine and a crank case of the other cylinder block with each other is arranged, and a part the communicating passage is constructed of engine component parts and a gasket. |
