PURPOSE:To enable the after-fitting of a handrail and facilitate the change of the fitting position of the handrail by fixing a rail member to the wall of a bathroom or the like, and fitting the base part of the handrail removably to the rail member and fixing it. CONSTITUTION:A rail member 11 is horizontally embedded in the parallelly continuous state in the wall 2a of a building frame in such a way that the opened surface is exposed. Nut members 16 are rotatably screwed with the leg parts 14a at both end parts of a handrail 14 through bolt parts 15. The engaging flange part 16c of each nut member 16 is turned in the horizontal direction to fit a body 16a into the groove part 11a of the rail member 11. A specified tool is then engaged with a lock operating part 16b to rotate the nut member 16 so as to make the flange part 16c face the back faces of the upper and lower locking parts 11d, 11e of the opened part 11c of the rail member 11. At this time, the bolt part 15 is moved forward by the rotation of the nut member 16 so as to come in contact with the bottom of a recessed step part 11b, and reacting to this, the flange part 16c is brought into pressure contact with the back faces of the locking parts 11d, 11e. |
