The electric motor (4) has brush collectors which are connected to a motor direction reverser (16) and current continuity circuits (17,18). A motor speed measurement circuit (13) is placed across the collector brushes. Each brush is connected to a detector diode (14,15) placed in opposition, so that either voltage output can be smoothed. The outputs from the diodes are connected together (12) and applied to the output shaft (5) of the motor. The shaft has isolating and conducting sections, providing speed rotation measurement in two directions with only one wire (11).
