The profiled seal (14) is positioned in the area of a flange by a rough guide unit and a precision guide unit (3,4). Each guide has rollers (23,24,18,19). There is also a precision guide unit (5) with rollers (9,16) to position the seal in the area of the hammer head (2). Compensation of tolerances is by a guide unit for the hammer (1), which is moveable in direction of the longitudinal hammer axis (17). The coarse guide consists of six rollers, with two longitudinal rollers located between and at right angles to, two pairs of cross rollers. One of the longitudinal rollers is pivoted.
