Heat exchanger with exchange elements for fluid

The heat exchanger has heat exchange elements (2) for heat exchange with a fluid. The fluid flows along the surface of these heat exchange elements (2). The exchanger has ribs (3) which are each fastened by only one of their ends (3a) to the corresponding heat exchange elements (2) in the direction of flow of the fluid. A drive (4) drives the individual ribs (3) such that they are allowed to vibrate, whereby one end of each rib (3) acts as a hinge. The drive (4) is preferably a layer (4) of piezoelectric material which is attached to the respective ribs (3). A voltage is applied to the layer (4) so that it contracts and expands.
