Servo valve for vehicle power steering

The pinion reaction force directly displaces the control block (2) to either side. The block is located in the servo housing on linear bearings (3) and operates on pairs of servo control valves by movement in either direction. Each pair of valves comprises a shut-off valve and a servo pressure admittance valve. One valve (7) contains a pressure limiting control for the limiting pressure between manual- and servo steering. The shut-off valve has a conical-, or spherical valve seating and is held in the open position by an integral spring. The servo admittance valve is held in the closed position by another spring. The control block is rectangular and comprises the front- or rear bearing of the steering pinion.
