The invention concerns a tap (1) with a two-part body, the parts (4, 5) being joined together by a releasable flange connection. The plane (3) of the parts runs at an angle to the axis of rotation (2) of a control shaft and outside a neck (6) on the tap body in which a seal (7) is fitted on the control shaft. Between the seal and the obturator element, the control shaft has a zone which increases in diameter towards the obturator element. In the case of tap bodies with a lining, the parts of the lining which are pressed against each other to form a seal lock into each other, a metal insert between the two parts of the tap body defining the force with which they press together.
