Office table with sliding work plate

The table has a work plate (16) which slides in the horizontal direction over a cable conduit (15) at the table end. A cranked adapter (21) for additional equipment fits in the conduit, its foot (22) following the internal contour of the latter. A narrower cable trough (38) parallel to the conduit joins onto it at the rear, and is enclosed by a rear wall (39). It extends upwards as far as the work plate, by which it can be at least partly covered. The trough bottom can be flush with that of the conduit. The trough can be enclosed by walls (41) at the ends and which extend upwards as far as the plate. There can be a brush (44) running along the plate rear edge, and whose bristles bear against the rear wall.
