An applicator (1) is equipped with at least one board (6, 7) upon which are arranged semiconductor diodes or laser diodes (8). In addition, the applicator (1) has one or several flat sending coils (transducers) (3) for transmitting pulsed electromagnetic radiation. It may be equipped with a fan and a heating coil to generate a flow of warm air. The applicator (1) is preferably shaped as a hood (2), but it may also be designed as a manual applicator. In that case, it is shaped as a conventional hair-dryer.
