<p>The proposed electronic system for the investigation of materials comprises a first detector electrode (3), a comparison electrode (2) and an auxiliary electrode (4), all made of the same electrically conducting material, having identical dimensions and mounted in a common housing (1) made of an inert material which entirely fills the volume of the said housing (1). A particular feature of the operation of the device is the fact that a polarising voltage is applied to the electrodes, and the current on the detector electrode measured, simultaneously with the electrochemical cleaning process, which involves the application of a polarising voltage to the other identical detector electrode which has already undergone electrochemical cleaning. The proposed device comprises an electrochemical cell (22), a polarograph (23), a polarising voltage source (25), a switching unit (26) and an electrode system (24) comprising at least six identical electrodes in the common sealed housing and mounted in the electrochemical cell (22); the electrode system is connected electrically to the inputs of the polarograph (23) and of the polarising voltage source (25). The switching unit (26) facilitates switching of the electrodes in the system (24) used as detector electrodes from the polarising voltage source (25) to the polarograph (23) and back.</p> |
