The severable element is designed to engage and secure a container lock mechanism when the container is in a closed position, whereby the free end of the element is capable of being mechanically or adhesively secured to said unitary body to form a seal, with said device being designed to fracture upon opening of the container lock mechanism thereby providing visible evidence of the lock mechanism being opened.</p>
