Caliper disc brake with housing

The disc brake is of the floating caliper type and is designed to minimise weight. The protruding parts (13,14) of the protuberances (9,10) near the inner and outer end of the holes (11,12) are each reinforced into two annular ridges (15,16). The middle sections (17) between the annular ridges have a smaller wall thickness, of less than 1 mm while the annular ridges are several mm thick.
