Twin electrical coils wound around water pipe conduct alternating and direct electrical currents

In a water treatment assembly to protect supplies from calcium deposits, water passes through a pipe around which are two separate coil windings arranged in sequence and which are both connected to an electronic circuit and power supply. The novelty is that each winding (4,5) is a coil whose two ends are each connected to an electrical direct current supply which overlays an alternating electrical current supply. In the direction of water flow through the pipe (1), the rear coil (5) has a higher direct current and a lower alternating current in comparison with the front coil (4). Almost the full electrical current applied passes through the rear (5) coil. The electrical and magnetic fields generated in the coils are opposite and opposed. The current has a steplike rise and a stepless fall profile in the rear coil (5).
