The cutter for cutting lengths of U-shaped cross-section, plastic, ribbed wiring ducts or channels, includes a base plate (2) and at least one carrier plate (3) arranged normal to the base plate (2) and a to cutter blade (4) hinge-mounted on the carrier plate (3). To provide rapid and easy cutting of lengths of shaped or moulded material, i.e. the bottom or covering part of the wiring ducts, the carrier plate (3) has a right-angled receiving recess or slot (6) for the moulded, shaped material being cut to length.
