A device for eating long-style pasta while standing up when there is no surface to put the pasta container down on. The device is a utensil with an optionally spoon-shaped surface (10) for receiving a fork when the pasta is to be wound around the fork prongs engaging the surface (10). Said surface is integral with or attached to the container rim, or held in position relative thereto, and the container suitably includes an upper compartment, e.g. an aluminium dish, containing a sauce. The whole assembly is provided with a seal, and the outer wall may comprise an aluminium paint pattern (15) for selectively shielding the contents of the container from microwaves, depending on the position and type of food therein.
