Bicycle anti-theft device

The anti-theft device has two housing units (1,2), arranged one under the other and joined by a cable (3). The first unit (1) is fixed on the cycle frame, and includes a current supply, one or more alarm transmitters, and an electronic circuit. The second unit (2) is laid on the ground near to or under the cycle to secure the cycle and contains one or more electronic and/or electromechanical devices which are able to detect and annunciate at least lifting of the unit and its movement. The multi-core cable (3) is electronically protected against severing, and a mechanically or electronically coded switch is provided.
