A flat textile structure for seat coverings or upholstery, especially for motor vehicle seats, designed especially for an air-conditioning effect, is characterised in that it consists of a sandwich structure of a plurality of layers, viz: a) a first layer (1) next to the body, with damp removal or distribution properties; b) a layer (2) beneath it, also with damp removal or distribution properties; c) a third layer (3) beneath layer (2) with absorbent and storage properties; d) a fourth layer (4) thereunder with cushioning and rear ventilating properties.
