The printing arrangement has a number of image generation units (40a-40d) with photoconductive drums and developers for generating images of different colours. An illumination device e.g. laser (30) can be moved to the position of a selected image generation unit to illuminate its drum according to image information. A transfer arrangement (60) can be moved to the selected image generation unit and transfers the image developed on the drum in that unit to the paper sheet. A paper sheet feed/ejection arrangement delivers the sheet to the transfer arrangement and ejects it.
