A device to thermally condition animal feedstuffs, oil seeds, oil fruits or similar. The feed passes through a series of helical drive shafts (3) and paddles (4,5,9) within a cylindrical housing (1) before arriving at a stopper (8) surrounded by a circular exit at the end of the housing (1). The spaces between the paddles in the final stage of the helix (5) accommodate projecting inserts (7) which may be raised or lowered. The novelty is that the mixer paddles (9) and the inserts (7) can be adjusted whilst the unit is in operation. |
